Right now the sole thing this DLC is good for is teaching people to never preorder stuff, even if you hold the developer in high esteem. Where are outdoor areas, spell staves, shields, magical weapons, axe-wielding satyrs, raging minotaurs and other content made for the original Hellraid? I didn't expect a whole new game out of it, but holy broccoli, right now it's almost nothing.Ĭorrect me if I'm wrong here, but even if the whole DLC will be 3 times as large as it is right now, it's still pretty much a ripoff, given that I doubt much more varied content will be added, since it's scheduled to launch in just a month - and it's all definitely not something I'd consider worth buying. There are no new mechanics at all, and on top of that if you climb a window, both zombies and skeletons just stand helplessly below. This is just a small uninteresting level with barely 10-15 minutes of gameplay, all enemies are straight reskins of common DL enemies, same with the weapons. Today I played the available preview and so follows my question - is this a bad joke? And so I purchased it without hesitation as soon as it was announced.

When I heard that it's coming as a DLC for Dying Light I thought it's a perfect solution - it would be a shame that all that work and assets were just thrown out, so perhaps while it wasn't good enough to be a standalone title, it could make a perfect sense to become available for DL players to enjoy. It was really disappointing when it was announced that the game was cancelled. I was following development of Hellraid the game for some time and was pretty excited for it.
